Lots of people think German grammar is a complicated, twisted web of rule, exceptions to rules and exceptions of exceptions to rules. I’m of the opinion that German grammar is only as complicated as you make it. The problem with a lot of German grammar lessons is that they over think things. They get hung up on the terminology and the jargon. This leads to confused German learners and the infamous lines “that’s just the way it has to be done in German”. In this series, I will flip the way you think about complicated German grammar topics and show you the real way they should be taught.
