I help adult German learners build the structure, habits, and confidence they need to keep learning German long after they no longer need me.

I learned German the old-fashioned way: high school classes, university courses, study abroad in Berlin, and years of trial, error, practice, and teaching. Since 2009, I have taught German in a high school classroom, and since 2011, I have helped learners around the world through my YouTube channel, courses, books, worksheets, and membership.

Over the years, I have learned that most people do not quit German because German is impossible. They quit because they do not have a system. They jump from app to app, video to video, and method to method until they eventually “take a short break” and never come back.

My goal is different.

I do not want you dependent on me forever. I want to help you build your own German-learning ecosystem, so you know what to study, how to practice, how to review, and how to keep improving on your own.

This site is for maturely immature German learners: adults who are serious enough to do the work, experienced enough to know there are no magic shortcuts, and still immature enough to laugh at a dumb joke along the way.
